We are Excited for 2021

From an energetic start in 2020, to Covid-19, we are on track with HEDI

December 2020

In honor of the Christmas spirit, we at the Hancock Partners would like to thank everyone for their beautiful contributions of Christmas decorations that have made the Town merry and bright. Specifically, we would like to thank the Hancock Area Chamber of Commerce for their beautiful Christmas display at the Hancock Partners Town Square. We are honored to be the home of the community Christmas tree.

Hancock Partners are also proud to support the Hancock Fire Department in their efforts to provide Christmas cheer to the children of the Hancock area this year. In addition to our donation to help them achieve their goals, we would like to applaud their desire to spread joy to our youth in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Check out the new website for the Hancock Partners. If you have any photos of the Hancock Partners or a Hancock Partners project that you would like featured please send them to HANCOCKPARTNERSINC@GMAIL.COM. Any and all photos would be greatly appreciated!

Also new, is the Hancock Partners Instagram page. If you have images you would like featured that capture the essence of our natural resources, businesses and community please send them to our Instagram@ Hancockpartnersinc or by email.

The events committee for Hancock Partners has been busy with planning next year’s Brews, Blues and BBQ. Events Coordinator Erin Mason has been working to create COVID friendly events for the community to enjoy in 2021. Keep your eye out for this year’s line up!

As we end the year, we would like to thank the George A. and Margaret Mee Charitable Foundation, the Town and Village of Hancock as well as the Friends of the Upper Delaware for their contributions to the Hancock Economic Development Initiative. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we were able to keep moving forward with the HEDI plan. We hired our economic and community development director, Valerie Senese in August. Since then we have updated our website, established a stronger presence on social media, applied for a rural health planning grant, opened a more welcoming office space on Main Street in the FUDR building, restarted the Gateway Tourism Council, and are working on a green energy project for the community, in addition to and in conjunction with the HEDI project.

And above all else have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

The Hancock Partners
